  • The next renewal class for 55 Alive is on Monday, Oct. 8, 1:30-5:30 p.m. The four hour class is available to anyone who has taken the first time class of eight hours. Two additional renewal classes have been scheduled for November which is a veterans promotion by AARP. All veterans are eligible to take advantage of this promotion, as well as their spouses, dependents, widows or widowers. Coupons are available through the AARP website of from local insurance agents or this office that will be brought to the class.
     
    A first time class is in the planning stages for this fall so if there are people needing this course, let us know. In looking at the area offerings, a first time class offering is not available at this time.

    Computers 4 Life on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 6-8 p.m.
    Learn to Knit or Crochet on Friday, Oct. 5, 3:30-5 p.m.
    Babies class on Saturday, Oct. 13, 9:30-10:30 a.m.
    All Day Quilting on Saturday, Oct. 13, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
    Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2:30-4:30 p.m.
    Day of Caring on Saturday, Oct. 13, morning

    Early Childhood Screening will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 16 for children who will be four by Dec. 31 and have not participated in this milestone. Appointments are available starting at 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The event is held at Trinity Lutheran Church basement.

    The next outing planned is to Stillwater on Thursday, Oct. 11. Interest has been expressed in all of the fall outings including “Perfect Wedding” on Thursday, Oct. 25 at the Old Log Theatre, “Christmas on the Ranch” at the Plymouth Playhouse on Sunday, Nov. 4 and the Lundstrom Country Christmas Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 8.
