  • The Kristin Gluth Memorial Ride was held Saturday, Sept. 8 beginning in Cobden.
Brenda Gluth, mother of Kristin who was killed in a tragic motorcycle accident, said this year there were 164 registered riders with 77 motorcycles and 25 cars. The ride begins in Cobden and travels to Wabasso, Belleview, Morton, Fairfax and through Home cemetery before ending in Cobden with a dinner and drawings for prizes.
This is the fourth year of the ride.
Each year the ride collects money and donates it to various organizations.
This year money was donated to the Cosmetology school in Mankato where it was given as a scholarship to Brandy Hieronimus of Good Thunder.
Another $1,000 went to the rescue squad who was on the scene of the accident in Avon.
Money will also be donated to have Kristin's name placed on a plaque at the hospital in Sleepy Eye where she was born.
