  • Harold Slemmer, executive director of the Arizona Interscholastic Association will be presenting “Pursue Victory With Honor,” a one day sportsmanship program.
The day-long program will show how easy it is to weave character lessons and teachable moments into team meetings and practices.
With sports and other activities being an important part of our youth’s lives, this is a great program to bring to the schools and local youth sports programs. USAC is covering the cost associated with the program through a grant received.
If you work with youth,  consider attending this workshop; coaches and program directors are some of the most influential people in the lives of youth. Whether you know it or not, you influence them. This workshop will enhance the message you share with them about sportsmanship, drug and alcohol use, character and leadership.
The program will take place Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the New Ulm Country Club from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. To register, go to www.usacbrowncounty.org. For more information call 507-354-6512 or e-mail kimjanke.usac@newulmtel.net. Registration is due by July 15.
