The sixth grade Indian girls competed in the Minnesota Pacesetter Basketball State Championship on July 1. The girls came away with a second place finish.

 


The sixth grade Indian girls competed in the Minnesota Pacesetter Basketball State Championship on July 1. The girls came away with a second place finish.

After victories over Deer River and Brainerd, the girls took their first loss of the season in the championship game against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton. The Indians made a valiant effort, but lost 17 to 15 on a last-second shot. Because of their second place finish, the girls have been invited to play in the Great Four State Championship on Aug. 18 at the Target Center in  Minneapolis.
