As hard as we try to fit everything into the paper that comes to our office, there are just some weeks when there isn’t enough room.
Sitting on my desk are these items.
1) For the second time this school year, Grandma Mary Lou Mathiowetz had a grandson playing in state tournaments. This time it was Bemidji baseball. This same grandson also played in the football state tournament.
2) Trees were planted in Home Cemetery in memory of Ivan and Ron Sandmann by Marge, and Mike and his family.
3) Brown Soil and Water Conservation District will be hosting a bus tour of soil and water conservation practices in Brown County. The tour is Tuesday, June 26, 9 a.m. start at the BSWCD office. Lunch will be provided and the tour is expected to be complete around 2:30 to 2:45 p.m. Attendees should contact Vanessa at the BSWCD office at 794-2553.
4) Sleepy Eye Historical Society is seeking people who are interested in the history of Sleepy Eye to become historical society members. You can provide support for as little as $15 for a single person or any generous amount you would like to contribute. Send them to the SEAHS, 100 Oak St. NW, Sleepy Eye.
