  • Indians lose three, win one

  • After winning three games in a row, the Sleepy Eye girls softball team went into a losing skid which started with an 11-0 shutout loss to St. Marys back on April 30th.

  •   After winning three games in a row, the Sleepy Eye girls softball team went into a losing skid which started with an 11-0 shutout loss to St. Marys back on April 30th. 
      The girls then dropped a game, 13-6, on May 1st to the Wabasso Rabbits which took two days to complete due to poor weather conditions.
    Sammy Villanueva was 2 for 4 with  2RBI.
    Sydney Remus went 2 for 4 with an RBI
    Sam Krebsbach 2 for 4 with a double and two runs scored
    The losses kept coming to the Indians when Minnesota Valley came to town for a double header on May 3rd.  The Indians scored a total of two runs in both games being defeated 5-1 in the first game and 6-1 in the second.
    Sleepy Eye was finally able to pull themselves out of the losing streak on Monday, narrowly pulling off an error laden, 6-4 victory over Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart.  
    Sydney Remus pitched the win allowing six hits, striking out 10 and walking six. At the plate Remus hit 1 for 4 with a double.
    Sam Krebsbach was 2 for 4 at the plate with a double and two runs scored.
    Amber Ness hit 1 for 2 with a run and two RBI.
    Jamie Fischer batted 1 for 1, scored a run and drove in two.
    Sleepy eye was scheduled to take the field on Tuesday against Redwood Valley, but rain and poor field conditions forced the game to be postponed to a later date to be determined.  
      Sleepy Eye is now 8-6 overall on the season.
