  • Dream big!

  • Dreams that occur during our deep sleep seem to allow us to go anywhere, be anybody and do anything. They can feel so empowering. That same feeling can occur when we allow our dreams to come alive during our waking hours.

  • Dreams that occur during our deep sleep seem to allow us to go anywhere, be anybody and do anything. They can feel so empowering. That same feeling can occur when we allow our dreams to come alive during our waking hours.
Young children generally have big dreams for their future. They firmly believe they can and will be an astronaut, a writer, or a fireman when they grow up. It’s a beautiful energy! As we grow, we tend to lose those big dreams as we dismiss them as impossible, unattainable, or naïve, childish aspirations.
Keeping your dreams alive is an important part of life! They allow you to maximize your potential and to do great things. Rather than settling for mediocre, keeping your dreams alive will inspire you, allowing you to reach a little further or strive a little higher. “Aim for the stars and maybe you’ll reach the sky” (Karl Paul Reinhold Niebuhr). What do you have to lose?
Do you have a dream? Oprah has a new project called Lifeclass. On her website she lists daily questions to encourage people to truly live life. One of her questions is: (fill in the blanks) The one thing I wished I had become is ____________.  The one thing I will become is ____________. If your dreams are ever going to come true, you must first believe that it is possible and then, that you are capable of making it happen! Picture it in your mind, align your actions with what you want, then begin planning for it and living it! “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve” (Napoleon Hill).
In the book, “The Success Principles,” by Jack Canfield, it is recommended that people get themselves into the game of their dreams~ today! When dreams seem too overwhelming, breaking them down into small, achievable tasks and completing them one by one, can set you on the path of living your dreams. It may seem scary at first, but allow your desire to pursue your dream, act as fuel for the journey ahead. In his book, Jack quotes Oliver Wendell Holmes, “Many people die with their music still in them. Why is this so? Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it, time runs out.”
When you dream big, you give others permission to do the same! There is endless good in allowing your dreams to live! Let your music be heard—believe in your dreams and let the possibilities soar!
