  • The River Valley Wildcats competed in a triangular meet Friday night. The Wildcats defeated Fulda-MCC in a thrilling dual, 40-37.  



    The Wildcats jumped out to an early 18-9 lead, after Bertram, Meidl and Hammerschmidt all recorded quick falls.  


    Fulda-MCC reclaimed the lead after the 160 pound weight class and had a 31-22 lead after the 170 pound match. Senior Jordan Meine closed the gap with a 10 second pin to bring the score to 28-31.  


    The teams traded forfeits at 195 and 220 pounds and Lance Briard ended the night with a first period fall to give the Wildcats the win, 40-37.

    The Wildcats were then defeated in their second dual by state ranked Wabasso-Red Rock Central 9-60.   


    The River Valley wrestling team now sits at 5-8.
