In a home game last Thursday, the New Ulm Eagles hammered the Litchfield-Dassel-Cokato Dragons 7-2. Brody Peterson scored first for New Ulm at 4:05 assisted by Dylan Schrekenberg and Jeff Banal. This was the only goal in the first period and the second period was equally as tight. Connor Stark scored on the power play, assisted by Brody Peterson and the Dragons finally got on the board with a goal by Ryan Tormansen. The third period was an Eagles’ blitz as they scored four goals before Litchfield was able to find the net.  Dylan Schrekenberg started it off with a goal, assisted by Brody Peterson and Judd Davis. This was followed by goals from Wyatt Peterson, assisted by Timmy Kehren; Aaron DuChene, assisted by Tanner Weiss and Jeff Banal; and Jeff Banal unassisted. Ian Melville closed out the scoring, assisted by Timmy Kehren. Goalie Brach Krauss got the win, stopping 19 of 21 shots.  New Ulm outshot the Dragons 45 to 21.

The Eagles are 3-0 in conference play and 8-7 overall. The next game is away at Rochester Lourdes on Thursday, Jan. 12.
