children and elders to Fort Snelling.

 Mary Bakeman will be at the Fort Ridgely Historic Site on August 27 at
1:30 to present a program that will follow the Dakota families on
their pilgrimage to exile from Minnesota.

Mary Bakeman is the owner of Park Genealogical Books and has been
researching and writing family histories for 30 years. Ms. Bakeman’s
books will be available for sale the day of the event.

          A MN State Park permit is required for this event.
Regular admission fees apply to the historic site presentation.
MHS and NCHS members can enter the commissary at no additional fee.
