- St. Mary's students go for the gold

- Each quarter, St. Mary’s has a special reading incentive for all elementary students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade who earn their quarter reading goal. In conjunction with the Summer Olympics, the theme this year was “Accelerated Reading Olympics.” The students wore their red, white and blue and competed in a variety of events: a “javelin” throw (with plastic straws), a “shot put” (with cotton balls), a balance beam, a bean bag toss, a ring toss, and beach volleyball. The events were held on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at the fieldhouse
