- A new perspective
- Posted March 29, 2012 midnight
- A new lookout was built at Sportsman’s Park to give residents and campers a new perspective on Sleepy Eye Lake. Daryl Bergs and Steve Lingen spearheaded the idea. Construction originally was slated to begin early this spring, but with a mild winter Daryl and Steve were able to fully construct the entire lookout by the end of November. The structure stands eight feet above the shoreline with benches for relaxing and viewing the lake. The height of the structure allows for a birds-eye view of almost the entire lake.
