Sleepy Eye Public Schools chose a patroller of the month for April and May. Sleepy Eye Elementary School Patroller for the month of April is Matthew Sellner, a fifth grader in Miss Himmelman’s classroom.

These three men are the newest members of the Sleepy Eye Fire Department. Fire Chief Tom Moldaschel interviewed eight people for the position. The retirement of Jon Hansen and Dan Braun opened up positions to be filled.

Last week, Minnesota farmers continued to face weather challenges and couldn't get into their fields, according to the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service Minnesota Field Office.

The Sleepy Eye Public School preschool class visited the Rosenhammer Dairy Farm on Monday, May 13. The students were able to see cows, calves, horses, goats, chickens, cats and kittens.
